Optical Lab Technician

Plastic Plus is expanding and we are looking for a highly motivated and organized lab technician. Minimum 2 years working in a wholesale optical lab environment. Full time.

NOTE: ONLY THOSE WITH OPTICAL EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED. DO NOT APPLY IF YOU HAVE NOT WORKED IN AN OPTICAL ENVIRONMENT.

  • Ability to work as a part of a team and have the ability to work in a high paced environment

  • In-house edging knowledge

  • Insert finished glasses

  • Tinting and lensometry knowledge an asset.

Optician/Lab Assistant

We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual with high standards to join our dynamic team.

Job Description

  • Inputting of Rx information into lab management system

  • Identify and select appropriate products for specific orders

  • Verify final orders for customers with quality checks

  • Consulting with clients on Rx information

 

Additional Requirements

  • Experience working in optical dispensing environment

  • Detail oriented and positive work ethic

  • Knowledge of practical optical and lens production is an asset

  • Excellent communication skills while working in a team environment

  • Strong organizational skills

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the position of Optical Customer Service Representative

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist customers regarding technical questions, job orders, tracking and Rx information

  • Taking Rx orders, providing information about products

  • Connecting customers to necessary departments regarding jobs

  • Monitor the progress of jobs via lab management system and provide up-to-date information as required

  • Issue redos/changes to Rx based on doctors/lab requests

Qualifications

  • Experience in an customer service environment

  • Experience in optical dispensing or a lab setting required

  • Ability to learn new processes and product information quickly to provide when required to customers

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in both a team and self directed atmosphere.

  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal

  • High proficiency in English
